วงการมอเตอร์สปอร์ตไทยได้รับข่าวดีอีกครั้ง เมื่อ MotoGP ประกาศขยายสัญญาจัดการแข่งขัน Thailand Grand Prix อย่างเป็นทางการต่อเนื่องอีก 5 ปีเต็ม ที่ สนามช้าง อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล เซอร์กิต จ.บุรีรัมย์ โดยจะครอบคลุมถึงปี พ.ศ. 2574 (ฤดูกาล 2031)

ตั้งแต่ปี 2018 ที่ประเทศไทยได้เปิดบ้านต้อนรับการแข่งขัน MotoGP ครั้งแรก กระแสตอบรับจากแฟนความเร็วทั่วประเทศสร้างความประทับใจให้กับผู้จัดระดับโลก Dorna Sports ถึงขั้นยกให้เป็น “หนึ่งในสนามที่แฟนแน่นและมีพลังมากที่สุดของฤดูกาล”

ล่าสุดเมื่อวันที่ 12 พฤศจิกายน 2568 บนช่องทางโซเชียลมีเดียของ MotoGP ได้ออกประกาศยืนยันอย่างเป็นทางการว่า มีการต่อสัญญาการจัดการแข่งขันออกไปอีก 5 ปี ต่อเนื่องจากเดิมที่สัญญาจะสิ้นสุดในปี 2026

ด้าน การกีฬาแห่งประเทศไทย (กกท.) เปิดเผยว่า การต่อสัญญาครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงแต่ตอกย้ำศักยภาพของประเทศไทยในฐานะศูนย์กลางมอเตอร์สปอร์ตระดับโลก แต่ยังถือเป็น “การลงทุนด้านการท่องเที่ยวเชิงกีฬา (Sports Tourism)” ที่ช่วยขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจในหลายมิติ ทั้งโรงแรม ร้านอาหาร การเดินทาง และการจ้างงานในพื้นที่

สำหรับฤดูกาลใหม่ MotoGP Thailand 2026 เตรียมเปิดฉากความมันส์อีกครั้งในวันที่ 27 กุมภาพันธ์ – 1 มีนาคม 2026 ที่สนามช้าง อินเตอร์เนชั่นแนล เซอร์กิต จังหวัดบุรีรัมย์ ซึ่งคาดว่าจะเป็นอีกหนึ่งปีที่แฟนมอเตอร์สปอร์ตไทยรอคอยมากที่สุด

การต่อสัญญาครั้งนี้จึงไม่เพียงเป็นชัยชนะของวงการมอเตอร์สปอร์ต แต่ยังเป็นการต่อยอดความสำเร็จของประเทศไทยในการก้าวสู่ “ศูนย์กลางการแข่งขันระดับโลก” อย่างเต็มภาคภูมิ 🇹🇭🏁

MotoGP Extends Thailand Grand Prix Contract for 5 More Years — Buriram Confirmed to Host Until 2031

MotoGP has officially confirmed the extension of the Thailand Grand Prix at Chang International Circuit, Buriram for another five years — securing Thailand’s spot on the MotoGP calendar through 2031.

Since its debut in 2018, the Thai Grand Prix has become one of the most celebrated races on the MotoGP calendar, praised by Dorna Sports as “one of the most passionate and energetic crowds of the entire season.”

On November 12, 2025, MotoGP announced on its official social media channels that the new five-year extension had been finalized, highlighting Thailand’s importance as a key venue for global motorsport.

The Sports Authority of Thailand emphasized that this renewal is not only a motorsport achievement but also a major boost for sports tourism, generating significant economic value through hospitality, travel, local employment, and regional development.

The next Thailand Grand Prix is scheduled for February 27 – March 1, 2026, promising another thrilling weekend at Buriram’s world-class circuit, where fans from across the globe are expected to gather once again.
